Civil Rights Movement Begins
Slavery something greatly apart of American history exists in America for nearly 400 years before being abolised. However, the was only the start of ending the discrimination that would continue for another century. The Civil Rights Movement would pick up again in stregth in the 1950's leading into the 60's.
The Civil Rights Movement would being with the Montgomery buss boycott with Rosa Parks and MLK help start it and to lead the boycott respectively. It would also have the Brown v. Board case arguing that segregating was not equal because it gave children a clear image that they were supposedly inferior. This case would eventually rule that schools would have to start to integrate but because it gave no time would end up taking a while.
The Civil Rights Movement would also result in Little Rock Nine because of the Brown v. Board case allowing anyone to apply to a public school. There would also be sit-ins where people would asked to be served and would wait there until they were served or were thrown out or arrested. Lastly for just the beginning of the CRM was the freedom riders trying to get buses to be desegregated and all of these are only the beginning to the CRM.
